People talk a lot these days about the virtues of decluttering and purging your home of unwanted things. What they don’t mention is that junk hauling trash is just pure pleasure... that is, if you don’t have to tackle it by yourself.

I know, because when my friend in Carmichael (let’s call her Sue) recently tried sorting out junk and hauling trash all on her own, she ended up overwhelmed before she was even halfway done.

Sue: Well. It’s over. I did it. I paid some guys with a truck to take away the trash.

Me: How did that work out?

Sue: It was the weirdest experience. When the team showed up, I didn’t have to do a thing except point at the junk I wanted removed and then watch them take it away. They were fast and clean, and they didn’t charge a fortune, either.

Me: Really? Sounds like you got good service.
